Intensive research since 2000 has made bonsilage the European market leader in biological silage inoculants. Three product lines – bonsilage BASIC, bonsilage SPEED and bonsilage FIT – offer silage inoculants that are specially tailored to the requirements of silaging corn, grass and other feedstuffs and have a measurable impact on the quality of the basic feed. Milk yield, sustainable animal health and thus cost-efficient milk production can thus be significantly improved. Some of the bonsilage silage inoculants can also be used as B bonsilage products in organic farming and are listed in the list of operating resources for organic farming in Germany.
bonsilage BASIC for measurably higher feed quality
Silage inoculant from the bonsilage BASIC line optimises the ensiling process, digestibility and stability of silage, thereby improving forage performance. The products increase the amount of undigested protein (UDP) in the silage. This allows other protein sources, such as soya or rapeseed meal, to be reduced.
- bonsilage FORTE – for grass, clover grass and alfalfa silage in the lower dry matter range.
- bonsilage ALFA – for alfalfa, clover grass and other legume silage.
- bonsilage PLUS – for grass, clover grass, alfalfa, green rye silage and GPS > 30% DM.

- bonsilage GKS – for treating whole grain maize silage in gas-tight high silos.
bonsilage SPEED ensiles measurably faster
The exclusive bacterial strain L. diolivorans reduces the silage maturation time to two weeks and prevents aerobic spoilage processes that reduce consumption as well as post-heating. The energy-rich, aerobically stable silage ensures high feed intake even when the silo is opened quickly. Since 2022, bonsilage SPEED products have also been the only silage inoculant available on the market with the DLG quality seal in effectiveness category 2 ‘aerobic stability’ and the new effectiveness category 2+ ‘additional test for rapid silo opening’.

bonsilage FIT for measurably improved cow fitness
bonsilage FIT products optimise the energy properties of silage and ensure high aerobic stability. Feeding-related diseases such as acidosis and ketosis can be influenced by the use of bonsilage silage additives, as the formation of propylene glycol relieves the cow's metabolism.

- bonsilage FIT G EXTRA – for grass silage with very high sugar content.
