MIZI reduces diarrhoea at weaning piglets

Ferkel
At various studies MIZI has proven its effectiveness against diarrhoea at weaning piglets. The SCHAUMANN- active ingredient of micronized zinc oxide (ZnO) offers security in the critical weaning period and supports to reduce performance losses. In comparison to conventional ZnO the inhibitory effect to E.Coli of Mizi is superior. Especially in the range permitted by feed law Mizi convince.
The active ingredient obtains already at dose about 125 ppm a reduction of E.Coli comparable with the effect of 2.000 ppm conventional ZnO (see figure 1)
Also at trails in practice MIZI convinced. At the trail group MIZI was supplemented to completed feed Instead of conventional ZnO (in each case 120 mg Zn /kg complete feed). In this group were only up to 3 piglets per days with diarrhoea, while in the control group have up to 24 of 100 piglets diarrhoea (see figure 2).
At almost the same feed intake the piglets of the MIZI-group reach furthermore about 25 % higher daily live weight gain, whereby the feed conversion ratio was reduce about 20 % in comparison to control group.
